Stockholm Archipelago Boat Charter
Plan a private route across thirty thousand islands, designed around your group, your appetite and the day's weather.
One archipelago, many ways to experience it
The Stockholm Archipelago is one of the largest archipelagos in the world — a spread of rocky, pine-covered islands beginning at Stockholm's doorstep and unfurling east toward the open Baltic. A private boat charter is the most flexible way to see it: you choose where to stop, how long to linger, and which restaurants, swim coves or quiet bays to include.
Inner, middle and outer archipelago
The inner archipelago is where the city slowly gives way to islands — Fjäderholmarna and the channels around Lidingö. The middle archipelago opens up around Vaxholm and Grinda, with classic red-and-white Swedish summer scenery. The outer archipelago — Sandhamn, Möja, Ingmarsö — is where pine and granite meet the open Baltic, ideal for full-day and overnight charters.
Suggested archipelago experiences
- A half-day cruise from Stockholm to Fjäderholmarna with lunch ashore.
- A long lunch run via Vaxholm with a stop at a private bay.
- A full-day route to Sandhamn and back via Möja.
- An overnight charter sleeping ashore at Grinda or Ingmarsö.
How we plan the route
We start with a short conversation about your group, occasion and timing. Our concierge drafts an itinerary, your captain reviews it for weather and feasibility, and we share a clear quote. On the day, the captain may adjust the route slightly — for example to chase calmer water or a better light — always in your interest.
Half-day routes
Inner and middle archipelago, perfect for sunset cruises and short get-togethers.
Full-day routes
Sandhamn, Grinda or Möja with stops to swim and eat ashore.
Overnight charters
Multi-day itineraries with island hotel stays or onboard cabins.
Restaurant docking
We pre-arrange table reservations at popular archipelago restaurants.
Swim and sauna stops
Hidden bays and floating saunas built into your itinerary.
Weather routing
Captains adjust the route for the day's conditions and light.
